‘Reacher’ is back, and (mostly) better than ever.
Damn, I love Alan Ritchson, even if he’s loaded to the gills with ‘roids.
They even make a nod-to-the-camera joke about it in the second episode.

Dude’s even bigger in the third season, and yet they found an even bigger guy as an antagonist.
My only niggle I have with this season is his predilection to straight-up merc criminals without a second thought. I think he forgets this isn’t war, and the streets and warehouses aren’t battlefields.
And even then, you don’t straight-up execute people. Reacher of the previous seasons would incapacitate, killing in self defense.
Season 3 Reacher appears to be on a mission driven purely on vendetta, and operating on a level WAY past extrajudicial. He’s recruited by and working with the DEA in this one, and they’re working outside their legal authority.
Even so, he’s not 007; he has no license to kill.
A drive to, sure. A moral imperitive – yeah. The capacity to do so without so much as a second thought? Absolutely.
But no hall pass.
With the bodies stacking up, there’s no legal authority Reacher can claim to justify his killings of a guy who was simply looking into him, or his straight-up bullet to the head of a dirty former cop.
Once the bodies are found, Reacher should and would be SuperMax-bound.
Will be interesting to see how the writers get him out of this pickle.
If you have Amazon Prime, you can get the first three episodes now.
If you’ve never seen seasons one and two – well… why? They’re great story-telling lead by grade-A prime cut Man-beef that is so much more than.
For me, it’s like looking in the mirror.
